Fishing/Guide

This is a guide for training the Fishing skill. This guide has a basic outline of methods to train the skill, and which Talents will impact the skill to aide in your training.

This guide does not promise to be the most efficient, best xp/hour, or best money-making guide. Rather, it is a good option for those looking for help deciding how to train their skills.

Training

Level 1-76 - Best Available

Players starting Fishing training should fish from the best available fishing spot they can catch from, up until level 76 for sharks.

Level 76+ - Sharks

Starting with sharks at level 76, players can continue this path until 99 and beyond.

Alternate: Level 80+ - Olympian Fishing

Starting at level 80, players can begin fishing big bass at Olympian fishing spots. There are a total of 3 fish to catch at Olympian fishing locations. Each subsequent fish requires an additional prestige to catch.

Alternate: Level 82+ - Minnows

Starting at level 82, players can begin fishing minnows. While not the best fishing xp, minnows provide very good cooking xp.

Bonuses and Talents

Bonuses

Bonus	Description
Vote Buff	20% XP bonus if the player is near other group members.
Skilling xp token	20% XP bonus if a skilling xp token is used.
Skilling outfit	8% XP bonus if the Angler's outfit is worn
Ring of 3rd age	12% XP bonus if worn. Replaces the skilling outfit bonus.
Skilling pets	20% XP bonus if Heron is following the player, or in bank with Remote Recipient Talent.

Resource Gatherer	Tier 1 Skilling	Increases the chance to receive 2x the resources by up to 60% at max rank.
Resource Banker	Tier 1 Skilling	Increases the chance to automatically bank resources by up to 60% at max rank.
Speedy Gatherer	Tier 1 Skilling	Increases the chance to speed up your action when gathering by up to 60% at max rank.
Infernal Gatherer	Tier 1 Skilling	Adds a chance to process resources when gathering by up to 25%. XP is gained in the production skill.
Skilling XP	Tier 2 Skilling	Gain up to 25% more XP in non-combat skills at max rank.
Persistent Gatherer	Tier 2 Skilling	Increases the number of repetitions while gathering, up to 75, before needing to interact again.
Gathering Prodigy	Tier 2 Skilling	Reduces the level required to interact by up to -10 levels at max rank.
Grace of the Elves	Tier 3 Skilling	Chance for a Seren Spirit to spawn and award you with extra resources, up to 1/100 chance at max rank.
Masterful Gatherer	Tier 3 Skilling	Increases the chance to gather a resource multiplicatively by up to 60% at max rank.
Bounty of Seren	Tier 5 Skilling	Gain more resources from Grace of the Elves by up to 40% at max rank. Selecting this talent will lock Wisdom of Seren.
Wisdom of Seren	Tier 5 Skilling	You are awarded XP instead of resources from Grace of the Elves. XP is awarded for the entire amount of resources that would have been received. Selecting this talent will lock Bounty of Seren.
Banker's Note	Tier 5 Utility	Receive an item that will let you note and unnote items directly in your inventory.
