Overview
The August Paragon League is a temporary game mode with a unique ruleset that fundamentally changes the gameplay experience. Temporary accounts will progress in 3 designated Leagues worlds, separate from the main game. Players begin as an Ironman character and can unlock buffs in the form of Relics and Paragon Points to further bolster your progress. Players can view their progress by reviewing the Paragon League Relic interface.
Changes from Anniversary League
- Access to the existing Talents and Pandora's Perks are disabled, with Relics offering even more power than the previous Anniversary League!
- The previous Fortune Relic has been removed.
Clue Scroll System
Acquire clues by mining/fishing/woodcutting/pvming, and complete them over time for chances at unique loot!
The Clue Scroll system is a brand new addition, bringing a taste of the Idle Game genre, allowing you to passively complete Clue Scrolls while you're gaming. There are 6 Clue Slots which can be unlocked with 'clue points', which you get from completing Clue Scrolls!
Progression
Earning League Points and Paragon Points will be the main ways to progress in the Paragon League.
This leagues, you'll be able to earn points in 3 different ways:
- Unlocking collection log slots
- Completing achievements
- Prestiging your skills
As you gain points, you will fill a progress bar on the new Paragon League Relic interface. When you reach certain point thresholds, you will unlock a relic slot, with a choice between 3 different relics.
- Each relic choice will have a set of perks that it offers
- More points are required between each tier, but the Relics will also greatly increase your player's abilities to progress in the game
In addition to the new perks, you will also gain Paragon Points. These points can be spent and refunded at any time, providing a boost to one of 4 character sheet stats.
Changes From Base Game
Combat
- All 6-tick weapons, other than scythes, have had their base attack speed reduced to 5.
- Ballistas and Colossal Blades have had their attack speed reduced from 8-tick to 7.
- Boss tasks are enabled for everyone immediately, however you will still need 80 slayer to get these tasks from Nixite.
Misc.
- All teleport costs are reduced as if you have the Teleportation Haggler talent maxed out.
- All non-boss NPCs respawn in 3 ticks, and bosses that use default respawn behavior will respawn in 10 ticks.
- Votes count for 10x when it comes to vote tokens received and number of votes claimed for achievements.
Tempering
- The Tempering system limits have been increased from 4 to unlimited
- You will get far more than the usual 3% stats from the first handful of temper ranks.
- The stat curve is STEEP to begin with, but exponentially decays towards 3% per rank.
- The cost to rank-up increases as you go.
- Every 3 ranks, the number of base items you need will double.
- Every rank, 5k more upgrade gems will be required.
