Ironman Modes

There are seven types of ironman accounts:

Generic Ironman Mechanics

Ironman Rules/Restrictions

  • Ironmen cannot use the Grand Exchange.
  • Ironmen can only used specific shops in the home area.

Non-Group Ironman Rules/Restrictions

  • Non-group ironmen must do at least 15% of the damage to a boss to receive loot.
  • Non-group ironmen cannot trade any other player.
  • Non-group ironmen CAN join instances with other ironmen and non-ironman accounts.

Permadeath Hardcore Ironman Mechanics

Permadeath Hardcore Ironman Rules/Restrictions

  • 5% increased droprate (no other account type receives any inherent droprate bonus)
  • Permadeath accounts lose account progress on death, being sent back to the tutorial.
Progress lost on death
  • All tradeable items (including those donated for)
  • All skills and prestiges
  • All equipped items and items in transmog slots that are tradeable

Group Ironman

Group Ironman Rules/Restrictions

  • Group ironmen must have their group deal at least 90% of the damage to an enemy to get loot.
  • Group ironmen cannot group up with other ironmen or normal accounts.
  • Group ironmen can trade within their group, and have access to a group bank.
  • Adding a new member to a group ironman group requires the group downgrade to a swapper group.
    • Unless new member is a fresh group ironman off tutorial.

De-ironing and Changing Ironman Modes

De-ironing or changing ironman modes can be done by speaking to the Ironman Tutor at home. All requests for de-ironing from a group or modifying group ironman membership must be submitted through a ticket on Discord.
