Drawing inspiration from leagues in Old School Runescape, August has taken the concept of relics and built upon it with our own unique twists to build out what we call our talent system.
Talents
What are Talents?
Talents are powerful buffs that allow you to enhance your character, including upgrades to your combat prowess, XP gain, and much more. A number of these talents work together to enhance your player's abilities.
Talents are grouped into three categories: PvM talents, Skilling talents, and Utility talents. In order to unlock these talents, you'll need to earn talent points.
Talent Points
Talent points are used to level up and unlock Talents. They can be gained by leveling up your skills, Prestiging your skills, or consuming Talent point orbs.
By default, talent points are earned every 40 levels gained. Based on the Game mode you chose when starting your character, you will gain certain talent points at a faster rate.
A quick reference chart is below for talent point bonuses per game mode. A 10% bonus means that talent points are earned every 36 levels instead of every 40.
