This is a guide for training the Slayer skill. This guide has a basic outline of methods to train the skill, and which Talents will impact the skill to aide in your training.
This guide does not promise to be the most efficient, best xp/hour, or best money-making guide. Rather, it is a good option for those looking for help deciding how to train their skills.
Training
Level 1+
In general, you should obtain tasks from the highest level Slayer master that your Combat and Slayer levels allow. The monsters they assign generally give more experience than lower level Slayer masters. Nixite is the best Slayer master to use for the fastest experience, but some players may find that Nieve's tasks better suit their preferences.
Note that just because the player can access better Slayer masters, this does not directly translate to more experience per hour. This is especially true for Slayer Locked accounts.
Post-Prestige Early Levels
A very specific "meta" method of leveling Slayer again after you Prestige is to create Slayer mystery boxes. When crafted, they give a chunk of Slayer XP that helps skip the early levels.
Tasks
Slayer masters assign tasks based on your Slayer level and not on your Combat level. Players should take this into account when picking Slayer tasks, especially at early combat levels.
Some Slayer tasks will be restricted until certain Slayer Prestiges.
There are currently 4 Slayer masters to receive tasks from, with varying Slayer level requirements.
- For a list of all tasks from each Slayer master, go to their pages.

Note that special slayer items such as mirror shields, nose pegs, earmuffs, etc. are not required to kill slayer NPCs on August.
