Server Rules
A note about the rules: These rules are updated first and foremost on our official Discord.
In the event of any discrepencies between the ruleset on this Wiki and the Discord, readers should default to the Discord ruleset.
Rule 1: Scamming
Rule 1a: Trade Scamming
All trade agreements must be honoured. Changing an offer after an agreement is made constitutes trade scamming and is not tolerated. Always double-check the offer before proceeding. If you believe you have been scammed, please submit a Player-Report ticket in #tickets on Discord.
Note: Repeated exploitation of this rule will result in more severe penalties
Rule 1b: Reporting Scams
To report a scam, please submit a Player-Report ticket in #tickets on Discord.
Rule 1c: Price Manipulation
Engaging in any form of price manipulation is strictly prohibited. This includes artificially inflating or deflating item prices for personal gain at the expense of others.
Price manipulation is considered unfair, dishonest, and goes against the spirit of the game.
Rule 2: Real World Trading (RWT)
Trades are limited to August Items/GP for August Items/GP only. Any attempts to trade for items or currency outside this scope will result in a ban, and the items involved will be removed.
Note: Suggesting or attempting such trades will also result in a ban. There are no exceptions.
Rule 3: Bug Abuse & Exploitation
Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics for personal gain is prohibited. Report any bugs immediately using a Bug Report ticket in #tickets on Discord.
Note: Do not repeat the exploit or share information about the bug with non-staff members. Violations will result in penalties, including stat resets or removal of items gained through exploitation.
Rule 4: Macroing & Botting (Automation)
Using third-party clients, software, or tools to gain an unfair advantage, such as auto-typing, auto-clicking, mouse recorders, auto switchers, and auto alchers, is strictly forbidden.
Note: Violations will result in a ban. Repeat offenders or severe cases will receive a permanent ban. Exceptions may be made based on the severity and circumstances of the case. Each situation will be reviewed individually to determine the appropriate action.
Rule 5: Threats and Personal Information
Rule 5a: Threats and DOXing
Malicious or realistic threats directed at players or the server, including Denial of Service Attacks (DOS/DDoS) are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate, severe action. Additionally sharing or attempting to share personal information—such as full names, IP addresses, or home addresses—without explicit consent will lead to an immediate ban.
To report any incidents related to threats or personal information, submit a Player Report ticket in #tickets on Discord.
Rule 6: Offensive/Inappropriate Language, Swearing, Censor Evading, Flaming
Rule 6a: Offensive/Inappropriate Language
Using offensive or inappropriate language, including derogatory, racism, abusive, insulting, or threatening comments, is prohibited. Repeated violations may result in mutes or bans.
Rule 6b: Inappropriate Names
Accounts with inappropriate names, including offensive language, impersonation, harassment, or advertising, will be banned.
Rule 6c: Punishment Evasion
Evading bans or censorship by any means is prohibited. If you have concerns about an action taken, please open a General ticket in #tickets on Discord.
Rule 6d: Flaming & Flame Baiting
Flaming, or posting hostile and aggressive messages to provoke others, will not be tolerated. Excessive behaviour, especially harassment, will result in punishment.
Rule 6e: Yell Command
While discussing game elements in the Yell CC, avoid sharing URLs, using extreme language, or discussing controversial topics.
Rule 6f: Political or Religious Discussions
Discussions involving political or religious topics are not allowed in Public chat, Clan chat or across Discord. These subjects are often controversial and polarizing, leading to unnecessary arguments and conflict. We strive to maintain a positive and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the game without feeling uncomfortable or divided.
Rule 7: Staff Impersonation
Impersonating a staff member is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban without warning. This includes usernames that mimic or resemble staff names or imply that you are part of the staff team.
Rule 8: Hacking
Hacking August accounts is strictly forbidden. We have the capability to trace accounts, items, and actions involved in hacking attempts. Those responsible will face permanent bans and removal of items obtained illicitly.
Rule 9: Disrespect Towards Staff
Disrespecting staff members will result in a mute. Staff dedicate significant time and effort to improve the game for everyone. Rudeness or disrespect towards them is unacceptable. Staff are here to help, and treating them with courtesy helps maintain a positive environment.

Note: All Staff members are subject to the same rules as players.
Rule 10: False Reports
Submitting false reports, including fake screenshots, incidents, or item loss claims, is strictly prohibited and will result in penalties against your account(s).
Rule 11: Account Sharing
Rule 11a: General Account Sharing
Account sharing is allowed, but you are responsible for your own items and account.
It is not permitted to make an account with the intention to bypass rules or systems in place.
Eg: If you rank transfer to an alternate account and give access out.
Rule 11b: Account Sales and Services
Offering account services is not permitted. We will not assist with issues resulting from such activities.
Selling your account will result in the account being permanently banned and the buyer being banned.
Rule 12: Duplicate Suggestions
Before posting a new suggestion in 📩│suggestions , use the search feature at the top of the page to check for duplicates. Staff members have the discretion to lock posts that are duplicates.
Rule 13: Trolling and Griefing
Intentionally trolling or griefing other players is prohibited. Actions meant to make another player's experience in August less enjoyable will result in punishment, reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Rule 14: Multi-Logging
You may log into up to three accounts simultaneously. Safeguards are in place to prevent exploitation of this limit in unintended or unfair ways, such as in Instances.
The world boss limit is 1 per person.
Attempting to bypass this limit for an unfair advantage, including using additional accounts to exploit game mechanics, will result in penalties. We monitor for suspicious activity to ensure fairness and integrity.
Rule 15: Abusing the Referral System
Abusing the YouTube referral system by creating multiple accounts to claim multiple rewards is strictly prohibited. Detection will result in a permanent ban from all associated accounts. Daily checks are performed to prevent exploitation.
Rule 16: Abusing the Voting System
Do not attempt to bypass or manipulate the voting timer on our vote page or top-lists voting pages. Engaging in such activities to inflate voting figures may result in August being banned from voting sites. We are committed to maintaining fair and legitimate voting practices.
1/3 sites per account or 3/3 sites on 1 account or 2/3 sites on 1 account, 1/3 sites on the other account
Voting on more than 3 sites within a 12 hour time window will result in a permanent ban.
Rule 17: Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback on any purchase made for the game, your account will be permanently banned.
Chargebacks are treated as a violation of the terms of service, as they undermine the financial integrity of the game and its community. We take this matter very seriously, and there are no exceptions to this rule.
If you have issues or concerns regarding a purchase, we encourage you to contact us through a ticket before considering a chargeback.
Resolving issues through proper channels is always preferable and will help avoid severe consequences such as a permanent ban.
Rule 18: Player-Ran Games of Chance (Gambling)
Players are not permitted to organize or participate in player ran games of chance.
The only sanctioned gambling method is done through our gambling area in-game:
- FLOWER POKER (Challenge)
Violating this rule will result in punishment for both parties involved, including; loss of items and actions against your account, the severity of which will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
If you can not gamble through provided means(due to them being unavailable or otherwise), it is not an invitation to run your own games of chance. We do not allow it.
