Update from Nov 25 2024

This major update introduces Nex as an end-game boss with tier 115 equipment, adds the Dragonstone Donator Zone with unique benefits, implements six new talents across PvM/Skilling/Utility trees, rebalances Hard Mode Zulrah, and adds nearly 200 new achievements with Completionist Cape requirements. The update also includes numerous quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes.

Dragonstone donator zone (DDZ)

Travel here by running to the west of the home map, or by typing "::ddz"

Slayer spawner

Get a limited amount of instantly respawning slayer NPC spawns (aggressive) per day. Choose how many you want to spawn in a row, and how many you want to spawn at a time.

  • Spawn between 1 and 5 at a time depending on rank
  • Spawn between 100 and 180 slayer NPCs per day depending on rank

Nobody else can see your NPCs, so you can gather with others out in the open and chat while you're slaying.

  • All drops are auto banked
  • Gain DDZ points for every slayer creature killed in the DDZ
  • Boss tasks DO NOT work here

Zone skilling

  • Cook noted food at the fire, up to between 1000 and 1400 times per day (depending on rank) at Olympian rank
  • Mine, fish, or fletch between 1000 and 1400 times per day (depending on rank, shared across gathering nodes) across the Amethyst Rocks, stackable Dark Crab fishing spot, or resource-less Fletching Scrapey Tree
  • Get extended boss tasks at Dragonstone Nixite up to 5 times per day at Olympian rank, which assign you tasks that are 2x as long as normal Nixite boss tasks

  • Dragonstone supply crate: Randomly get a bunch of skilling and/or PvM supplies once per day

New flasks

(Also available in the regular donator store)

  • Divine Gatherer's Flask: Additional 15% chance to successfully gather an item for 1 hour
  • Divine Resource Flask: Additional 15% chance to gain double resources when gathering for 1 hour
  • Divine Production Flask: Reduces the time between producing items by half for 1 hour
  • Divine Strength Flask: Boosts your max hit by a flat +5 for 1 hour
  • Divine Prayer Flask: Gain +10 prayer bonus for 1 hour

New tokens

  • 2x drop token: Consume this token automatically when killing an NPC to gain double loot
  • 3x drop token: Consume this token automatically when killing an NPC to gain triple loot
  • 2x resource token: Consume this token automatically when gathering to gain double resources
  • 3x resource token: Consume this token automatically when gathering to gain triple resources
  • Superior spawn token: Where applicable, consume this token automatically when killing a Slayer NPC to guarantee a superior spawn

Donator rank transferring

This will now be an option for players. Talk to Hatius Cosaintus to see how it works!

New world events

New world events have been added for:

  • Say Your Prayers
  • Corporeal Beast
  • Cerberus
  • Zalcano
  • Nex
  • Hard Mode Nex
  • Hard Mode Zulrah

These will continue to run every 90 minutes. We will be paying close attention to how the hard mode masses go, and make no promises that they will remain in the rotation.

New achievements & Completionist Cape

Currently there are 84 achievements available in the game. There are now 272 achievements (some hidden for hard mode Nex and Cerb) available to be completed across various tiers.

As a result of this update, and some behind-the-scenes stuff with cleaning up the code, the early prestiging achievements will be able to be re-claimed. This is not a bug! Enjoy the free talent points!

Completionist Cape Requirements

Currently, the Completionist Cape requires you to have:

  • 100 total prestiges across all working skills
  • 95% of the achievements completed up to, and including, master tier

These requirements can and will change over time. It's up to you to keep up with the updates to the game - particularly as new achievements are added.

When you log in, if you are no longer eligible to wear the cape, it will be automatically removed from your cape slot and put into your bank. If your bank is full and there is no placeholder slot for it, and you become ineligible, then your cape goes poof.

Obtaining the cape(s)

You can purchase the base Completionist Cape, if you meet the requirements, from the Prestige Master's shop at home for 100M cash.

Fire, Infernal, Dizanas, Guthix, Zamorak, and Saradomin cosmetic variants are able to be crafted at the loom for a steep price.

Each of these capes are Tier 110 stats, with attack and strength stats for all styles, and a flat 10 prayer bonus on top.

New talents

Reach Around (T6 PvM)

Allows melee weapons to reach distant targets.

  • 1 point: 1 tile extra range
  • 2 points: 2 tiles extra range
  • 3 points: 3 tiles extra range
  • 4 points: 4 tiles extra range

Unlocking this talent will lock:

  • Aggression
  • Resilience I
  • Absolute Unit

Adrenaline Assault (T5 PvM)

If your equipped weapon has special attack, you can no longer manually activate it. Instead, it will have a chance of activating after every hit, consuming no energy. The chance to proc is higher, the lower the normal spec energy requirement is.

  • A 25% spec cost will have a 30% chance to proc at 5 points
  • A 50% spec cost will have a 20% chance to proc at 5 points
  • A 100% spec cost will have a 13.33% chance to proc at 5 points
  • 1 point: 4% base chance to proc*
  • 2 points: 8% base chance to proc*
  • 3 points: 12% base chance to proc*
  • 4 points: 16% base chance to proc*
  • 5 points: 20% base chance to proc*

Unlocking this talent will lock:

  • Resilience I
  • Sigil of Finality
  • Guardian, Executioner, Berserker, Absolute Unit
  • Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency (T6 PvM)

Chance to reduce the special attack cost on special attack activation by half. All special attack costs are reduced by a flat 10%.

  • 1 point: 5% chance
  • 2 points: 10% chance
  • 3 points: 15% chance
  • 4 points: 20% chance
  • 5 points: 25% chance
  • 6 points: 30% chance
  • 7 points: 35% chance

Essence Enrichment (T5 Skilling)

Chance to bind-random when mining dense essence blocks, but you do not receive any experience.

NOTE: Infernal gatherer, and other resource processing perks, will provide essence shards and not proc this talent.

  • 1 point: 20% chance
  • 2 points: 40% chance
  • 3 points: 60% chance
  • 4 points: 80% chance
  • 5 points: 100% chance

Jeweller's Prodigy (T3 Utility)

Equip jewellery at a lower level requirement. NOTE: This affects ring, and amulet slots.

  • 1 point: -2 levels
  • 2 points: -4 levels
  • 3 points: -6 levels
  • 4 points: -8 levels
  • 5 points: -10 levels
  • 6 point: -12 levels
  • 7 points: -14 levels
  • 8 points: -16 levels
  • 9 points: -18 levels
  • 10 points: -20 levels

Gain drop rate but protection prayers have a chance to not work.

  • 1 point: 1% extra drop rate, 3% chance for protection prayers to not work
  • 2 points: 2% extra drop rate, 6% chance for protection prayers to not work
  • 3 points: 3% extra drop rate, 9% chance for protection prayers to not work
  • 4 points: 4% extra drop rate, 12% chance for protection prayers to not work
  • 5 points: 5% extra drop rate, 15% chance for protection prayers to not work

Greedy boi (T6 Utility)

Prevents equipping in the Ring Slot - gives you a chance to double drops.

  • 1 point: 0.2% chance
  • 2 points: 0.6% chance
  • 3 points: 0.6% chance
  • 4 points: 0.8% chance
  • 5 points: 1.0% chance

Utility Unleashed (T6 Utility)

Increases the potency of utility items (Wealth Collector, Bone Crusher, Steel Keyring, Herb Sack) if they're in your inventory.

  • Bone Crusher restores prayer on a 10% chance per bone buried by the BC
  • Steel Keyring has a chance to double key when dropped
  • Wealth Collector and Herb Sack provide extra yield to looted items
  • 1 point: 5% extra yield / +1 prayer points / 2.5% double key chance
  • 2 points: 10% extra yield / +1 prayer points / 5% double key chance
  • 3 points: 15% extra yield / +2 prayer points / 7.5% double key chance
  • 4 points: 20% extra yield / +2 prayer points / 10% double key chance

Hard Mode Zulrah changes

We want to get more people into Hard Mode Zulrah. Not everyone is or should be capable of defeating it, but we want more people to be able to at least dip their toes.

  • A bunch of Zulrah achievements have been added, and will give you toxic orbs as rewards
  • Crafting toxic orbs with Zulrah's scales will now give you 2 toxic orbs each time instead of 1
  • Crafting toxic orbs with serp-visage/magic-fang/tanz-fang will now give 3 orbs instead of 1

The drop rate for toxic orbs from Hard Mode Zulrah has been updated to 1 in 4, so you can keep the momentum going! The drop rate for the regular Zulrah uniques has been reduced a bit to account for the drastic increase of accessibility to the boss.

Nex

This patch brings a long-awaited end-game boss to August: Nex! NOTE: Hard Mode Nex (Azrael) is not released with this update.

Nex's stats are at tier 115, and the loot coming from her is also tier 115. This includes: Torva helm/body/legs, Zaryte Crossbow, Zaryte Vambraces, and the Ancient Godsword.

Torva Set

Equipping the full Torva set will result in you having a 20% increased chance (multiplicative) to proc the melee flurry talent. Full Sanguine Torva will provide an increased 33% chance.

Sanguine Torva can be crafted using P3 lvl 99 smithing, using Ancient Blood Ornament Kits dropped by Azrael, when she becomes available to take on.

Zaryte Crossbow, Bolts, and Rock Cake

With P3 lvl 105 mining, you're able to mine Zaryte ore outside of Nex's arena, surrounded by the ancient GWD NPCs. You'd better equip yourself with some Ancient equipment so that they don't stay aggressive to you while you mine.

WARNING: These fellas pack a punch, and it's multi combat!! If you don't have ancient equipment, bring your best defences and food!

  • Zaryte ore can be used to smelt Zaryte bars at P3 lvl 105 smithing. Resource processing talents will work on Zaryte ores, giving you Zaryte bars without the level requirement.
  • Zaryte bars can be used at P0 lvl 105 smithing to create Zaryte Bolts (unf) and Zaryte Rock Cakes
  • Zaryte rock cakes are alternatives to dwarven rock cakes, allowing you to bite down on them and hurt your itchy teeth for up to 69 damage at a time
  • Zaryte bolts are the new BIS bolts that can only be used with the Zaryte Crossbow, and can be tipped at P3 lvl 105 Fletching with Diamond/Ruby/Dragonstone/Onyx bolt tips. They have higher ranged strength than dragon bolts
  • The Zaryte Crossbow spec costs 50% special energy by default, and will guarantee your enchanted bolt proc effect

Post-update fixes

  • Ingredient saver will print out the name of the saved component, not the name of the item you're crafting
  • Failing to smith torva will save the bandos armour instead of the torva component, to align with other smithing things where the progression item doesn't get lost
  • Collection log list items will no longer be offset, and will show your actual KC
  • There's now a bank at nex
  • Nex shouldn't get stuck in blood phase anymore
  • Removed individual new tokens from donator store, added bundle box instead
  • Added bundle deals for bundle boxes to the donator store
  • You shouldn't be able to spawn more than your daily limit for the slayer spawner
  • The random events achievements and counters should work properly
  • NPCs should be aggressive again
  • The Nex cough should no longer spread outside of the Nex instance
  • Failing certain Nex achievements should print out usernames properly

Other changes

  • Joining a clan chat with an invalid name will no longer brick your account
  • Square sandwiches should now be tradeable
  • The waterfalls in the demonic gorilla cave have been removed and will no longer cause issues with item drops
  • Amethyst mining in the mining guild has been buffed, giving less chance to deplete the rock everywhere
  • Collection log items which are no longer tracked in the log will no longer count towards your total collection log count
  • Talaria has been added to the Olympian Raids collection log, and purple chest loot (rare)
  • Dying in the Olympian Raids when you're already dead in the cage, will no longer count as another death for the team
  • Zalcano should no longer become permanently immune as people leave the boss room
  • You can now teleport to a group or solo Zalcano instance
  • You can no longer spec attack Zalcano
  • Jad in Say Your Prayers will only go down to 3 ticks between attacks instead of 2
  • Zulrah, HM Zulrah, Skotizo, and Vorkath pets will no longer drop to the floor as items. They'll either follow you or go to your inventory/bank as expected
  • Osmumtens fang spec will now properly do +15% damage, and take the higher of 2 damage rolls
  • The Zamorak Staff spec will now properly have its damage modified by other talents like Berserker and Aggression
  • The production interface will now show you which items are saved on failure, and which are destroyed
  • Clay (not soft, unobtainable) has been removed from the collection log
  • The Olympian Chest will now give 5 to 10 olympian fabrics instead of 2 to 5 at a time
  • Imbued hearts from superior slayer creatures will now drop way more commonly, considering these are now part of a core character progression
  • Imbued heart cooldowns will now reset on death so you can re-buff if you encounter a skill issue and die
  • High alching with runes in a rune pouch should now work as expected
