Patch notes/Nov 10 2024

Summary

This update introduces various quality-of-life improvements including a split private chat toggle, interface improvements, and new talent options. Boss fights have been streamlined with faster respawn options and improved mechanics. The update also introduces the official August RSPS Wiki and new transmog options including "null" armor that allows players to hide equipped items.

Talents changes

• You can now unlock 2 more spec slots, up to 8 maximum

Safety Off

A new Utility talent which can skip past warning dialogs quickly. Be careful when you use this! You may accidentally pay for things / lose items without warning when you accidentally execute actions.

There will be no refunding of items where people opt into this talent and make mistakes. No exceptions.

Wisdom of Seren

You are also awarded experience instead of resources from Grace of the Elves.

• You are awarded XP for the entire amount of resources that would have been given.

Unlocking this talent will lock:

• 1 point: 7% of the experience
• 2 points: 14% of the experience
• 3 points: 21% of the experience
• 4 points: 28% of the experience
• 5 points: 35% of the experience

Gain more resources from Grace of the Elves.

• 1 point: 12% extra resources
• 2 points: 18% extra resources
• 3 points: 25% extra resources
• 4 points: 32% extra resources
• 5 points: 40% extra resources

Bossing Changes

• Olympian raid purples can be given to multiple group members in the same raid now
• You can now pull a lever at the start of the Hephaestus room to make the elementals spawn extremely quickly, with only a 1-tick delay
• GWD world events will respawn the GWD bosses quickly, after 5 seconds, so there will be far less downtime between bosses
  • GWD bosses have also had their combat rewritten so that they can be spawned into breaches as well
• Regular GWD rooms will now respawn after 10 seconds (35 respawn cap), with an optional "turbo mode" that will respawn after 1 second, but with a cap of 15 respawns, at the cost of 1.5m cash
• At the end of a Zulrah fight, the Zulandra teleport on the ground will give you an option to instantly respawn Zulrah, with a coin cost starting at 125k coins, increasing by 25k coins with each consecutive respawn
• After a TOA boss fight, Osmumten will now give you an option to instantly restart the encounter, at the cost of 300k coins
• Toxic orbs now stack!
• Hard mode bosses will now ignore defence levels, but damage reduction perks will still reduce damage taken

Items changes

• The Donator store now has 6 new items to beef up your transmog game. The "null" armour set can be equipped into your transmog slots in order to hide what you're wearing in those equipment slots
  • For example, equipping a titanforged body in the chest slot, and then a "Null body" in the transmog slot will make you appear to be wearing nothing in the chest slot
• Some staff members may be wearing new cosmetics to help them stand out
• The Ring of 3rd Age can now be used in the transmog slot and still have the special effects apply
• Olympian fish can now be noted
• Certain items will no longer make your head disappear

Other changes

• ::splitpchat is now a command you can use to toggle split private chat mode
• The halloween map has been reverted back to the OG August home in HD
• Unequipping your weapon when auto casting will now properly stop you casting spells
• Nurmof will now crush your items for a fee
• Sigil of finality now can have a placeholder in your bank
• Square sandwiches can now be noted
• ::claimvotes now has a new set of poggers items that can rarely be won, and halloween sweets have been removed
• Flower poker is back for now and will be limited to the weekends
• The herblore alchemist outfit was added to the skilling store, and will give a 6% XP boost when the full set is worn
