Bank tags

Bank tags are a suitable way to organise your bank over multiple account's by using a plugin included within the Runelite Client. They allow free editing of your bank space without the need for placeholder's of items you may not have and lets you have gaps to separate sections.

Using Bank Tags

Using bank tags is fairly straight forward, allowing you to create your own layouts via ingame adjustments or using an external text editor. You can also just copy/paste a layout you like if you have the bank tags exported code.

• It is recommended to use bank tags if you are using multiple accounts due to it being a system based on your runelite. This allows all of the bank tags you use to be available on multiple accounts. Whereas bank tabs are simply account-based therefore they do not assist in your other account's banks.

Creating your own

Creating your own bank tags is rather simple. All you have to do is click the 'plus' icon that is at the top left of your bank's UI.

From here you can right click your newly created bank tag and customise it yourself. I would recommend editing the name and icon to the theme of the tag and clicking 'Enable layout'.

Importing/Exporting existing tags

Importing and exporting a bank tag string is rather simple. By using the 'Export tag tab' option from your chosen bank tag's right click menu. Refer to previous image. You will automatically get the bank tag's string copied to your clipboard (copy/paste). From here you can either manually edit the string in your preferred text editor or you can simply import the code as a new bank tag where you require it. To import the code simply right click the 'plus' icon within your bank's UI and 'paste' your chosen string.

Adding items to existing tags

To add an item to any tag there are 2 methods to do so.

1. Easy Method: Simply go to your main bank page and drag any item to the bank tag you want to add it to. It will then appear in the tag you dropped it in, allowing you to reposition it however you like. This method however does not allow you to add items you do not own.
2. Tedious Method: You can export your bank tag you wise to edit to get the corresponding text string. By then placing the copied string into a text editor you can then add items you do not own into your bank tag at any position, as long as you have the items id value.
   • The values that you will need to change within the text editor will be after 'layout'. The values will repeat as a 'Location, Id Value' within the text string.

• Bank location values start at 0, so the first row of your bank would include the positions 0 to 7. Making 8 to be the starting position of the next row.
• Some values for items will be different for August in relation to their original values.

Red shows the location value within the bank tag.

Blue shows the id value of the item.

Creating a loadout tag

Using bank tags also allows you to create a tag for both your currently equipped equipment and the layout of your inventory. This can allow you to make setups for different bosses or other activities.

1. Start by creating a new tag within your bank. Refer to above sections.
2. Then right-click your new tab and click "Enable Layout".
3. Right-click the same tab again and now click "Auto layout: Default" and press 1.

That will allow you to keep track of what builds you may use with a certain spec slot.

Common Issues

There are a few issues with the bank tags that cause conflicts on some occasions. Here will hopefully be some fixes that you can input below.

Line Graphical Error

This error occur when you use, create or import a bank tag when you have pre-existing bank tabs on the top section of your bank.

• To fix simply delete any tabs you have on the top row within your bank.

Scroll Limit Error

This error causes your bank tag to stop at an inconvenient spot that does not allow you to access all of your bank tag. This can be caused by playing for an extended period of time without reloading your runelite client.

• To attempt to fix try initially relogging. If still experiencing issues, restart your runelite client.
  • This may not fix the issue entirely.

"Ghost" or Censored items

This is due to an error or conflict within the imported values finding difficulties going where they are intended. This causes displacement of items, confusion of item identity and on occasion random placeholders finding their way into that tab.

• Most cases that this happens the best course of action is to "Delete tag" option on the right-click menu of the tag and selecting the first option of "1. Tab and tag from all items". This should then allow you to re-import the bank tag with fewer to no issues.

Recommended Bank Tags

Below are pre-made bank tags that you may use to get started organising your banks. You may edit any of the tags as you like. If they become unwanted, simply delete them in their respective right click menu.

• Click [Expand] opposite the tag you wish to use to view the text string. Copy the text and import it.
