The Hard Mode Olympian Raids are an advanced version of the Olympian Raids, featuring significantly stronger bosses, a roguelite perk system, random invocations that modify boss mechanics, and an additional final boss encounter against the Mount Mimic. Hard mode raids are designed for experienced groups and offer exclusive rewards not obtainable in normal mode.
It is recommended to have high Prestige levels across multiple combat styles, as well as tribrid gear, since the raid requires players to adapt to changing combat requirements throughout. A coordinated group of 3-5 players is strongly recommended, though smaller groups can attempt the raid at higher risk.
==Requirements== | |||
|||
===Recommendations===
* Minimum Prestige 7 in your main combat style and Prestige 5 in offstyles.
* Minimum T90 gear or higher across all three styles. Tribrid equipment such as Gem armour can reduce the number of switches required.
* A coordinated group of 3-5 players. Solo attempts are possible but extremely difficult.
* Familiarity with all normal mode Olympian Raid mechanics.
==Getting there== | |||
Hard mode Olympian Raids are accessed from the same portal as normal mode raids. Use the Portal nexus located north of spawn, then right-click the Olympian Raid portal and select "Enter (hard mode)."<br>
Entry fee: 2,000,000 | |||
==Overview== | |||
The hard mode raid consists of four boss encounters in sequence:
# Apollo — A ranged-focused boss that summons energy orbs and light elementals.
# Poseidon — A magic-focused boss that summons waves, guardians, and uses ice attacks.
# Hephaestus — A melee-focused boss with directional slams, adds, and an arena-wide explosion phase. Preceded by a mini-boss encounter with Keuthonymos.
# Mount Mimic — A hard mode exclusive final boss with candy spit attacks, bombs, and melee swipes.
Each boss encounter is modified by randomly assigned invocations that alter mechanics and increase difficulty. Between rooms, players select roguelite perks that provide powerful buffs for the remainder of the raid.
==Roguelite Perks== | |||
At room transitions, players are presented with a card selection interface offering three cards, each containing two randomly selected perks. Players pick one card per selection phase, gaining the perks on that card. The number of perks available scales as the raid progresses:
* Apollo entrance: 2 perks (1 selection)
* Poseidon entrance: 4 perks total (2 selections)
* Hephaestus entrance: 6 perks total (3 selections)
* Mount Mimic entrance: 8 perks total (4 selections)
Perks come in three tiers, with weighted rarity:

==Mechanics== | |||
===Apollo=== | |||
|||
Apollo is the first boss encounter, primarily using Ranged and Magic attacks. In hard mode, Apollo has doubled HP and is combat level 420.
====Basic Attacks====
Apollo alternates between two primary attacks:
* A ranged attack using empowered crystal bow projectiles, hitting all players.
* A magic attack using Light Surge, hitting all players with projectile magic.
Both attacks have distinct visual cues. Players must prayer flick between Protect from Missiles and Protect from Magic to avoid damage.
====Invocation Effects====
Hard mode Apollo receives 3 random invocations from the following pool:
Invocation !! Points !! Effect
Triple Threat || 3 || Attacks come in groups of 3 quick successive hits requiring rapid prayer switching. Deals zero damage if prayed correctly.
Quick Shot || 3 || Attack delay reduced by 1 tick. Healers spawn faster.
Solar Eclipse || 2 || Adds a third attack that deals massive damage and smites prayer if an overhead is active; deals no damage if no overhead is used.
Light's Fury || 2 || Leaves molten pools beneath players with each attack, dealing tick damage. Pools disappear after some time.
Totemic || 2 || 35% chance off-prayer hits summon a totem next to the player that explodes if not killed quickly, dealing AOE damage and healing Apollo.
Light Seekers || 3 || Energy spawns roam randomly, leaving molten pools in their wake.
Colorblind || 2 || Half as many energy spawns but they come quicker, replaced with red/green/blue variants requiring the matching combat style to kill.
Speedy Orbs || 1 || Energy spawns have half HP but heal Apollo for twice as much.
Deadly Healers || 1 || Healers target players instead of healing Apollo.
Sharp Arrows || 1 || Ranged attacks deal 50% more damage off-prayer.
Honed Magic || 1 || Magic attacks deal 50% more damage off-prayer.
} | |||
====Energy Phase==== | |||
At approximately 85% HP, Apollo floats into the air and spawns energy orbs. These orbs walk toward altars; if they reach one, Apollo heals for 4x the orb's current HP. Players must kill the orbs quickly. When the phase ends, Apollo releases an energy blast dealing damage proportional to the remaining energy power.
====Healers Phase====
At approximately 70% HP, Apollo summons Light Elementals (3-4 in hard mode). The elementals heal Apollo unless the Deadly Healers invocation is active, in which case they attack players instead. Regular attacks continue during this phase.
====Combo Phases==== | |||
Below 55% HP, Apollo combines energy spawns and healer mechanics with accelerated regular attacks. Energy orbs spawn every 30 cycles and healers every 68 cycles. This is the most intense phase of the fight, requiring strong coordination to manage all mechanics simultaneously.
===Poseidon=== | |||
Poseidon is the second boss encounter, primarily using Magic attacks. In hard mode, Poseidon has doubled HP and is combat level 555.
====Basic Attacks====
Poseidon alternates between:
* A Water Surge magic attack targeting players.
* One of three ice attacks:
** Ice Blitz Path — A line of fire from the boss to the player's tile, dealing 25-35 damage on hit.
** Ice Burst AOE — An expanding circle of ice from a target tile.
** Ice Surge Smash — A cone attack; the boss heals for 5x the damage dealt.
====Invocation Effects====
Hard mode Poseidon receives 4 random invocations:
Invocation !! Points !! Effect
High Tide || 3 || Waves spawn constantly throughout the entire fight.
Freeze! || 2 || Ice attacks freeze players in place for 5 ticks on hit.
Hephaestus' Fury || 2 || Waves are imbued with fire, dealing AOE typeless damage on hit and applying a burn DOT.
Water Bomb || 2 || Water surge bounces from the player onto a nearby tile, dealing AOE typeless damage.
Reckless Magic || 2 || Poseidon targets tiles instead of players directly. Surges now deal typeless damage.
Olympian Surfer || 2 || Waves deal 33% more damage and heal Poseidon for triple the normal amount.
Surging || 1 || Water surge attacks deal 50% more damage off-prayer.
Potent Guardians || 1 || Olympian guardians deal 33% more damage.
Elementalist || 1 || 50% more olympian guardians are summoned.
Enraged || 1 || Skips the second guardian phase but starts the enrage phase early.
} | |||
====Guardian Phase====
Poseidon summons Olympian Guardians (melee elementals) around each player. These must be dealt with while continuing to dodge Poseidon's attacks.
====Wave Phase==== | |||
Poseidon summons tsunamis from arena edges that travel across the arena. Being hit deals 45-65 damage (60-87 with Olympian Surfer) and heals Poseidon. Players must dodge the waves while managing other mechanics.
===Hephaestus=== | |||
Hephaestus is the third and most complex boss encounter, using melee attacks. In hard mode, Hephaestus has 1.5x HP and is combat level 620. The encounter is preceded by a mini-boss fight against Keuthonymos (combat level 666).
====Keuthonymos (Mini-Boss)====
Before reaching Hephaestus, players must defeat Keuthonymos, a demon mini-boss with three attack types:
* Melee Swipe — Targets the direction with the most players.
* Cone Attack — A 3-tile wide, 8-tile deep cone; the boss heals for 3x the damage dealt.
* Fire AOE — Expanding circles of fire around the boss dealing up to 25 damage.
Keuthonymos periodically burns fire paths from the center to the arena perimeter. These persist for the duration of the fight and deal 9-15 damage per tick.
====Invocation Effects====
Hard mode Hephaestus receives 8 random invocations (3 pre-boss, 5 boss phase):
Pre-Boss Invocations:
Invocation !! Points !! Effect
Expedited Elementals || 2 || Elementals spawn with a 1-tick delay.
Little Runners || 2 || Elementals run, but can be frozen.
Vanguard Reversal || 1 || Vanguard overheads indicate damage vulnerability instead of immunity.
Demonic Pace || 2 || Keuthonymos attacks twice as fast.
Demonic Punch || 2 || Keuthonymos' punch max hit increases by 12 per escaped elemental instead of 4.
} | |||
Boss Phase Invocations:
Invocation !! Points !! Effect
Enraged || 3 || Hephaestus always slams faster.
Burning Borders || 3 || The ring of fire never disappears, forcing continuous slam dodging.
Magma Slam || 3 || Slams bring up lava from the ground, dealing tick damage to players standing on it.
Mirrored Strikes || 3 || Slams additionally strike in the opposite direction.
Hammer Slammer || 2 || Slam max hit increased from 80 to 130; heals for 10x damage instead of 3x.
Aftershock || 2 || Slams cause a second wave of damage in the same area.
Whammer Slammer || 2 || Slams have a larger area of effect.
Carousel || 2 || Slams rotate in a circle instead of targeting random players.
Nowhere is Safe || 2 || The explosion phase no longer drops rocks for cover.
King of the Vanguards || 2 || Vanguard adds also spawn their demonic leader. All must be defeated.
Vanguards Galore || 1 || 50% more adds with more HP.
} | |||
====Directional Slam Phase====
Hephaestus slams in a direction, creating damaging zones on the ground. Players must dodge the slam direction, which is telegraphed with warning graphics. The slam deals 35-80 damage in the center and scales outward. In hard mode, the fire border deals 45 damage per tick (vs 25 in normal mode) to players outside the safe area.
====Adds Phase==== | |||
Hephaestus summons empowered elementals (melee, ranged, and mage variants). Each elemental is immune to one combat style and weak to the other two. Directional slams continue during this phase.
====Explosion Phase====
Hephaestus stomps and triggers an arena-wide explosion. Three safe zones (behind rocks to the West, South, and East) protect players from the blast. Players outside safe areas take maximum HP damage. With the Nowhere is Safe invocation, no rocks spawn.
===Mount Mimic=== | |||
The Mount Mimic is the hard mode exclusive final boss, replacing the normal mode chest reward at the summit. It is combat level 130 with 3x base HP.
====Basic Attacks====
The Mimic uses four attack types:
* Candy Spit — Fires projectiles at players that can be Melee, Ranged, or Magic style. Players must prayer flick the correct protection.
* Big Spit — A larger, more damaging variant of the candy spit.
* Melee Swipe — A close-range physical attack.
* Bomb — Throws a bomb at a player's location, dealing heavy damage. Can be lethal with invocations.
====Invocation Effects====
Hard mode Mount Mimic receives 5 random invocations:
Invocation !! Points !! Effect
Triple Threat Candy || 3 || Candy attacks come in bursts of 3 requiring rapid prayer switching.
Feinting Attacks || 2 || Candy attacks no longer telegraph the incoming combat style; each player is attacked with random styles.
Triple Threat Bomb || 2 || Bomb attacks come in bursts of 3 and land much faster.
Lethal Bombs || 2 || Bombs deal AOE damage; standing in the center is lethal.
Speed Demon || 2 || Less delay between attacks.
Lethal Candy || 1 || Candy attacks deal more damage off-prayer.
Big Tongue || 1 || Melee attack hits the whole arena and deals more damage off-prayer.
} | |||
==Loot== | |||
Hard mode raids feature two types of reward chests upon completion:
===Normal Chest=== | |||
Awarded to all players who contributed. Rolls 5 items from an enhanced loot table including Olympian materials, runes, noted resources, and skilling supplies. Additionally:
* Godsword Ornament Kit: 1/40 per chest
* Pet: 1/350 per chest (Apollo, Poseidon, or Hephaestus)
* Pet Upgrade Item: 1/500 per chest
===Purple Chest=== | |||
A rare enhanced reward chest with a base rate of approximately 1/35. The rate is modified by:
* Deaths: Each death reduces the rate by a multiplier of 0.8.
* MVP Status: The top damage contributor receives a bonus.
* Perk Bonuses: Drop Rate perks (I/II/III) increase the purple chest chance.
Purple chest drops are rolled from three weighted pools:

==Achievements== | |||
Hard mode Olympian Raids have four Grand Master achievements, all requiring a group of at least 3 players:
Achievement !! Requirement
Silver Surfers || Complete a hard mode raid with everybody using only silver perks.
Gold-getters || Complete a hard mode raid with everybody using only gold perks.
Prismatic Pickers || Complete a hard mode raid with everybody using at least 2 prismatic perks each.
We Have Enough DPS || Complete a hard mode raid with nobody using damage-tagged perks.
} | |||
==Strategy Tips== | |||

Requirements
Hard requirements
- Completion of normal mode Olympian Raids is strongly recommended before attempting hard mode.
2,000,000 gold entry fee per attempt.- 5-minute cooldown between hard mode entries (cooldown is removed upon entering the Poseidon room).
Recommendations
- Minimum Prestige 7 in your main combat style and Prestige 5 in offstyles.
- Minimum T90 gear or higher across all three styles. Tribrid equipment such as Gem armour can reduce the number of switches required.
- A coordinated group of 3-5 players. Solo attempts are possible but extremely difficult.
- Familiarity with all normal mode Olympian Raid mechanics.
Getting there
Hard mode Olympian Raids are accessed from the same portal as normal mode raids. Use the
Portal nexus located north of spawn, then right-click the Olympian Raid portal and select "Enter (hard mode)."
Entry fee:
2,000,000
Overview
The hard mode raid consists of four boss encounters in sequence:
- Apollo — A ranged-focused boss that summons energy orbs and light elementals.
- Poseidon — A magic-focused boss that summons waves, guardians, and uses ice attacks.
- Hephaestus — A melee-focused boss with directional slams, adds, and an arena-wide explosion phase. Preceded by a mini-boss encounter with Keuthonymos.
- Mount Mimic — A hard mode exclusive final boss with candy spit attacks, bombs, and melee swipes.
Each boss encounter is modified by randomly assigned invocations that alter mechanics and increase difficulty. Between rooms, players select roguelite perks that provide powerful buffs for the remainder of the raid.
Roguelite Perks
At room transitions, players are presented with a card selection interface offering three cards, each containing two randomly selected perks. Players pick one card per selection phase, gaining the perks on that card. The number of perks available scales as the raid progresses:
- Apollo entrance: 2 perks (1 selection)
- Poseidon entrance: 4 perks total (2 selections)
- Hephaestus entrance: 6 perks total (3 selections)
- Mount Mimic entrance: 8 perks total (4 selections)
Perks come in three tiers, with weighted rarity:
Tier | Weight | Description |
Silver | 8 | Basic stat boosts and minor effects. |
Gold | 5 | Stronger effects including pet synergies, combat modifiers, and sustain. |
Prismatic | 1 | Powerful build-defining effects with significant trade-offs or unique mechanics. |

Mechanics
Apollo
Apollo is the first boss encounter, primarily using Ranged and Magic attacks. In hard mode, Apollo has doubled HP and is combat level 420.
Basic Attacks
Apollo alternates between two primary attacks:
- A ranged attack using empowered crystal bow projectiles, hitting all players.
- A magic attack using Light Surge, hitting all players with projectile magic.
Both attacks have distinct visual cues. Players must prayer flick between File:Protect from Missiles.png Protect from Missiles and File:Protect from Magic.png Protect from Magic to avoid damage.
Invocation Effects
Hard mode Apollo receives 3 random invocations from the following pool:
Invocation | Points | Effect |
Triple Threat | 3 | Attacks come in groups of 3 quick successive hits requiring rapid prayer switching. Deals zero damage if prayed correctly. |
Quick Shot | 3 | Attack delay reduced by 1 tick. Healers spawn faster. |
Solar Eclipse | 2 | Adds a third attack that deals massive damage and smites prayer if an overhead is active; deals no damage if no overhead is used. |
Light's Fury | 2 | Leaves molten pools beneath players with each attack, dealing tick damage. Pools disappear after some time. |
Totemic | 2 | 35% chance off-prayer hits summon a totem next to the player that explodes if not killed quickly, dealing AOE damage and healing Apollo. |
Light Seekers | 3 | Energy spawns roam randomly, leaving molten pools in their wake. |
Colorblind | 2 | Half as many energy spawns but they come quicker, replaced with red/green/blue variants requiring the matching combat style to kill. |
Speedy Orbs | 1 | Energy spawns have half HP but heal Apollo for twice as much. |
Deadly Healers | 1 | Healers target players instead of healing Apollo. |
Sharp Arrows | 1 | Ranged attacks deal 50% more damage off-prayer. |
Honed Magic | 1 | Magic attacks deal 50% more damage off-prayer. |
Energy Phase
At approximately 85% HP, Apollo floats into the air and spawns energy orbs. These orbs walk toward altars; if they reach one, Apollo heals for 4x the orb's current HP. Players must kill the orbs quickly. When the phase ends, Apollo releases an energy blast dealing damage proportional to the remaining energy power.
Healers Phase
At approximately 70% HP, Apollo summons Light Elementals (3-4 in hard mode). The elementals heal Apollo unless the Deadly Healers invocation is active, in which case they attack players instead. Regular attacks continue during this phase.
Combo Phases
Below 55% HP, Apollo combines energy spawns and healer mechanics with accelerated regular attacks. Energy orbs spawn every 30 cycles and healers every 68 cycles. This is the most intense phase of the fight, requiring strong coordination to manage all mechanics simultaneously.
Poseidon
Poseidon is the second boss encounter, primarily using Magic attacks. In hard mode, Poseidon has doubled HP and is combat level 555.
Basic Attacks
Poseidon alternates between:
- A Water Surge magic attack targeting players.
- One of three ice attacks:
- Ice Blitz Path — A line of fire from the boss to the player's tile, dealing 25-35 damage on hit.
- Ice Burst AOE — An expanding circle of ice from a target tile.
- Ice Surge Smash — A cone attack; the boss heals for 5x the damage dealt.
Invocation Effects
Hard mode Poseidon receives 4 random invocations:
Invocation | Points | Effect |
High Tide | 3 | Waves spawn constantly throughout the entire fight. |
Freeze! | 2 | Ice attacks freeze players in place for 5 ticks on hit. |
Hephaestus' Fury | 2 | Waves are imbued with fire, dealing AOE typeless damage on hit and applying a burn DOT. |
Water Bomb | 2 | Water surge bounces from the player onto a nearby tile, dealing AOE typeless damage. |
Reckless Magic | 2 | Poseidon targets tiles instead of players directly. Surges now deal typeless damage. |
Olympian Surfer | 2 | Waves deal 33% more damage and heal Poseidon for triple the normal amount. |
Surging | 1 | Water surge attacks deal 50% more damage off-prayer. |
Potent Guardians | 1 | Olympian guardians deal 33% more damage. |
Elementalist | 1 | 50% more olympian guardians are summoned. |
Enraged | 1 | Skips the second guardian phase but starts the enrage phase early. |
Guardian Phase
Poseidon summons Olympian Guardians (melee elementals) around each player. These must be dealt with while continuing to dodge Poseidon's attacks.
Wave Phase
Poseidon summons tsunamis from arena edges that travel across the arena. Being hit deals 45-65 damage (60-87 with Olympian Surfer) and heals Poseidon. Players must dodge the waves while managing other mechanics.
Hephaestus
Hephaestus is the third and most complex boss encounter, using melee attacks. In hard mode, Hephaestus has 1.5x HP and is combat level 620. The encounter is preceded by a mini-boss fight against Keuthonymos (combat level 666).
Keuthonymos (Mini-Boss)
Before reaching Hephaestus, players must defeat Keuthonymos, a demon mini-boss with three attack types:
- Melee Swipe — Targets the direction with the most players.
- Cone Attack — A 3-tile wide, 8-tile deep cone; the boss heals for 3x the damage dealt.
- Fire AOE — Expanding circles of fire around the boss dealing up to 25 damage.
Keuthonymos periodically burns fire paths from the center to the arena perimeter. These persist for the duration of the fight and deal 9-15 damage per tick.
Invocation Effects
Hard mode Hephaestus receives 8 random invocations (3 pre-boss, 5 boss phase):
Pre-Boss Invocations:
Invocation | Points | Effect |
Expedited Elementals | 2 | Elementals spawn with a 1-tick delay. |
Little Runners | 2 | Elementals run, but can be frozen. |
Vanguard Reversal | 1 | Vanguard overheads indicate damage vulnerability instead of immunity. |
Demonic Pace | 2 | Keuthonymos attacks twice as fast. |
Demonic Punch | 2 | Keuthonymos' punch max hit increases by 12 per escaped elemental instead of 4. |
Boss Phase Invocations:
Invocation | Points | Effect |
Enraged | 3 | Hephaestus always slams faster. |
Burning Borders | 3 | The ring of fire never disappears, forcing continuous slam dodging. |
Magma Slam | 3 | Slams bring up lava from the ground, dealing tick damage to players standing on it. |
Mirrored Strikes | 3 | Slams additionally strike in the opposite direction. |
Hammer Slammer | 2 | Slam max hit increased from 80 to 130; heals for 10x damage instead of 3x. |
Aftershock | 2 | Slams cause a second wave of damage in the same area. |
Whammer Slammer | 2 | Slams have a larger area of effect. |
Carousel | 2 | Slams rotate in a circle instead of targeting random players. |
Nowhere is Safe | 2 | The explosion phase no longer drops rocks for cover. |
King of the Vanguards | 2 | Vanguard adds also spawn their demonic leader. All must be defeated. |
Vanguards Galore | 1 | 50% more adds with more HP. |
Directional Slam Phase
Hephaestus slams in a direction, creating damaging zones on the ground. Players must dodge the slam direction, which is telegraphed with warning graphics. The slam deals 35-80 damage in the center and scales outward. In hard mode, the fire border deals 45 damage per tick (vs 25 in normal mode) to players outside the safe area.
Adds Phase
Hephaestus summons empowered elementals (melee, ranged, and mage variants). Each elemental is immune to one combat style and weak to the other two. Directional slams continue during this phase.
Explosion Phase
Hephaestus stomps and triggers an arena-wide explosion. Three safe zones (behind rocks to the West, South, and East) protect players from the blast. Players outside safe areas take maximum HP damage. With the Nowhere is Safe invocation, no rocks spawn.
Mount Mimic
The Mount Mimic is the hard mode exclusive final boss, replacing the normal mode chest reward at the summit. It is combat level 130 with 3x base HP.
Basic Attacks
The Mimic uses four attack types:
- Candy Spit — Fires projectiles at players that can be Melee, Ranged, or Magic style. Players must prayer flick the correct protection.
- Big Spit — A larger, more damaging variant of the candy spit.
- Melee Swipe — A close-range physical attack.
- Bomb — Throws a bomb at a player's location, dealing heavy damage. Can be lethal with invocations.
Invocation Effects
Hard mode Mount Mimic receives 5 random invocations:
Invocation | Points | Effect |
Triple Threat Candy | 3 | Candy attacks come in bursts of 3 requiring rapid prayer switching. |
Feinting Attacks | 2 | Candy attacks no longer telegraph the incoming combat style; each player is attacked with random styles. |
Triple Threat Bomb | 2 | Bomb attacks come in bursts of 3 and land much faster. |
Lethal Bombs | 2 | Bombs deal AOE damage; standing in the center is lethal. |
Speed Demon | 2 | Less delay between attacks. |
Lethal Candy | 1 | Candy attacks deal more damage off-prayer. |
Big Tongue | 1 | Melee attack hits the whole arena and deals more damage off-prayer. |
Loot
Hard mode raids feature two types of reward chests upon completion:
Normal Chest
Awarded to all players who contributed. Rolls 5 items from an enhanced loot table including Olympian materials, runes, noted resources, and skilling supplies. Additionally:
- Godsword Ornament Kit: 1/40 per chest
- Pet: 1/350 per chest (Apollo, Poseidon, or Hephaestus)
- Pet Upgrade Item: 1/500 per chest
Purple Chest
A rare enhanced reward chest with a base rate of approximately 1/35. The rate is modified by:
- Deaths: Each death reduces the rate by a multiplier of 0.8.
- MVP Status: The top damage contributor receives a bonus.
- Perk Bonuses: Drop Rate perks (I/II/III) increase the purple chest chance.
Purple chest drops are rolled from three weighted pools:
Purple chests also roll:
- Godsword Ornament Kit: 1/15 per purple chest
- Pet: 1/350 (includes Olympian Mimic pet)
- Pet Upgrade Item: 1/500

Achievements
Hard mode Olympian Raids have four Grand Master achievements, all requiring a group of at least 3 players:
Achievement | Requirement |
Silver Surfers | Complete a hard mode raid with everybody using only silver perks. |
Gold-getters | Complete a hard mode raid with everybody using only gold perks. |
Prismatic Pickers | Complete a hard mode raid with everybody using at least 2 prismatic perks each. |
We Have Enough DPS | Complete a hard mode raid with nobody using damage-tagged perks. |
Strategy Tips
- Prioritize survivability perks early. Silver and gold sustain/tank perks in the first two rooms make later encounters much more manageable.
- Coordinate perk selections with your group. Having dedicated roles (tank, DPS, support) through perk choices improves consistency.
- Learn the invocations. Since invocations are randomly assigned, familiarity with all possible modifiers for each room is essential.
- Manage your prayer carefully. Many invocations punish off-prayer hits severely, and the Mount Mimic requires constant prayer flicking.
- Kill energy orbs immediately during Apollo. Letting orbs reach altars heals Apollo for massive amounts.
- Dodge Hephaestus slams by watching the telegraph graphics. With invocations like Mirrored Strikes or Carousel, the safe zones change significantly.
- Use low-ping worlds. Due to the strict timing of mechanics (especially Hephaestus lava and Mimic bombs), selecting a world with the lowest ping from the August plugin is recommended.
- Bring tribrid gear. All three combat styles are needed throughout the raid. The
Slayer helmet (i) is excellent tribrid headgear providing 15% strength and 12% accuracy to all styles.
