Axes
August has a number of custom axes with unique perks.

| Speed | Has a chance to reduce the number of game ticks before your next woodcutting attempt. |
Bronze to Rune axes
Bronze through Rune axes work as normal, all able to be purchased at the Skilling Tools Store at home. These tools do not have any perks.

Gatherer axe
The gatherer axe has the double yield perk, providing a small chance to gather two of a resource each time you mine. It is roughly equivalent to a Rune axe in speed, and has a woodcutting level requirement of 1.

Dragon axe
The dragon axe doesn't have any perks, but is a required stepping stone if looking to craft your own 3rd age axe. It has a woodcutting level requirement of 61.

The infernal axe has the process resource perk, and must be crafted using a smoldering stone and dragon axe. It has a level requirement of 61 woodcutting.

Crystal axe
The crystal axe has the speed perk, and must be crafted using a crystal tool seed, crystal shards, and a dragon axe. It has a level requirement of 71 woodcutting.
The crystal tool seed can either be purchased from the Skilling Token Store or dropped from Zalcano.
The crystal shards can only be gathered from fighting Zalcano.

3rd Age axe
The 3rd age axe has all three perks; double yield, process resource, and speed. It is the best axe in the game currently. It has a level requirement of 61 woodcutting.
The 3rd age axe has three primary sources: Smithing, Enhanced crystal chest, and Donating.
Recipe
The 3rd age axe has two smithing recipes, depending on whether or not you are upgrading from a crystal axe or an infernal axe. Both recipes require a third age upgrade kit, which is only dropped by Zalcano.
