Update from Oct 09 2024
This major update introduces Breaches, an entirely new game mechanic featuring chaotic multi-combat areas with optional PvP and special jackpot drops. The update also launches the Halloween event with a Trick or Treat system, a new world boss named Jhallan, a spooky home map, and various seasonal rewards. Additionally, the voting system has been revamped to provide better incentives.
Breaches
Breaches are a whole new mechanic coming to the game, where we take existing and new bosses, and throw them all in a limited area, for an absolutely HECTIC experience.
- You can choose to opt-in to PvP for increased drop rate, choosing the level of risk and reward you'd like to take on
- HCIMs and PDHCIMs are safe to die in the breach without worrying about losing status
- Kill Streaks will reward you with even more increased drop rate while you can maintain it
- There's a special jackpot drop table which you can hit for meeting participation thresholds (minimum 10% of the damage done to an NPC), which are full of REALLY JUICY loot! While there's a breach queued up, use
::jackpotto see the table for that breach! - Transmogs will be hidden inside PvP breaches
Breaches are entirely multicombat, and a chaotic free-for-all. You may want to find some friends to group up with if you're planning on PvPing!
Halloween Festivities
Trick or Treat
South of home, have a chat with Death and do some Trick or Treating!
Once a day you can get a treat from Death, giving you one of many status effects for a longer period of time! Use it or lose it!
Uncapped by time, choose to take Easy, Medium, or Hard tasks from Death to gain Spooky Sweets: the currency used for the Halloween store!
Death's tasks will range from delivering (and giving away) items to specific NPCs around the map, killing some amount of a specific NPC, gathering a certain amount of a specific resource, or crafting a certain amount of a specific item!
Get rewarded according to the difficulty of the tasks that you take on, and spend up big in the new Halloween store!
New World Boss
Jhallan is a new World Boss you will be seeing during this Halloween Event. He comes with a whole new range of mechanics for you to learn and avoid, and has a rare chance to drop some of the special halloween loot!
Expect Jhallan to spawn on his own, but there's also jars which can be bought in the in-game store if you're that way inclined and have some august tokens to spare!
You may also be seeing Jhallan outside of the World Boss Arena, so keep your eyes peeled and your mouse ready!
Updated home map
Enjoy a new set of scenery! We've updated the home map to be extra spooky to make sure you're all as excited for the Halloween fun as we are!
Halloween Mystery Box
The new Halloween Mystery Box comes with a bunch of awesome rewards that you might want to get your hands on! It's getting close to the Fashionscape contest, so get your hands on some boxes, dress up, and win some prizes!
Other Changes
- Voting has been changed up a bit!
- Runelocus is incredibly important for us as a server! We get the vast majority of our toplist traffic through them.
- To reflect this, we have tripled the amount of vote tokens your get for voting for Runelocus, and you will now get +1% extra drop rate for each toplist you have voted at in the past 12 hours!
- During the Halloween Event, you'll also be given Spooky Sweets for each vote!
- There are a couple of extra new items in the vote store, and bonds have increased in price.
- The idea here is that we want to reward people for voting more, as opposed to the current situation where massive amounts of vote tokens are coming in from vote bosses.
