August has two primary instance types that players will interact with: player instances, and world instances.

Player Instances

Player instances are instances that are generated by the player. Slayer instances and boss instances (other than boss masses) are examples of player instances. Loot in player instances typically will appear under the player when an enemy is killed.

World Instances

World instances are those that are generated by events, such as boss masses (Zulrah, GWD bosses, etc.), and the world boss arena. These instances primarily differ in that loot obtained when in a world instance is sent directly to your bank, rather than to your inventory, or dropped on the ground.
