New page

== Update from Oct 04 2024 ==
This major update introduces the Tombs of Amascut raid with four boss encounters (Akkha, Baba, Kephri, and Zebak) and numerous powerful rewards including Masori Armor, Osmumten's Fang, and Tumeken's Shadow. The update also includes various fixes for Halloween items, equipment animations, and other quality-of-life improvements.

== The Tombs of Amascut release ==
It's finally time to delve into the tombs, and here's what to expect.

=== Raid mechanics ===
* Choose to battle Akkha, Baba, Kephri, or Zebak
* We wanted to give you this choice so that you can choose the boss you'd like, then you can trade and barter with others for the bosses you're not as keen for
* Each boss will have its own key fragment that you can trade amongst yourselves
* Collect 1 fragment from each boss, then you can combine it into a key to open up the purple chest west of
::home
!

=== Bonus loot ===
* Every boss has the chance to drop a bonus common loot key
* This is used to get 3 rolls on the normal boss drop table, plus rolls for the Keris partisan
* If you're lucky, you can get purple key fragments, or even a full purple key!

== The rewards ==

=== Masori Crafting Kit ===
* An uncommon drop that's used in the crafting recipes for fortifying Masori Armour and the Masori Assembler

=== Scarab Dung ===
* Used in a new herblore product
* Lilys of the sand + herbal mixture (unf) can be combined at the alchemy table to make a herbal mixture
* Then the Scarab dung is used with that potion to make a Fertilizing mixture
* When you harvest crops with the fertilizing mixture in your inventory, you gain 1 extra product per farming harvest

=== Eldritch Ashes ===
* Can be scattered for some prayer experience

=== Big banana ===
* A stackable food that can heal a small amount

=== Fang ===
* Can be fletched into bones for a small amount of experience

=== Masori Armor ===
* An all around good ranged armor with decent defences

=== Masori Armor (f) ===
* An upgraded masori in terms of offences
* Has no defence
* When less than 40% HP, you attack 1 tick quicker with crossbows

=== Masori Assembler ===
* A new ranged back slot item, outperforms Dizana's quiver

=== Osmumten's Fang ===
* A very strong melee weapon
* Passive: Does the highest of 2 damage rolls
* Special attack: Attack with 15% increased damage

=== Lightbearer ===
* Doubles the regen speed of your special attack meter when equipped

=== Elidinis' Ward ===
* A magic shield with offences just below the Arcane spirit shield

=== Elidinis' Ward (f) ===
* By combining the Elidinis' Ward with the Arcane Spirit Shield, it gets significantly increased stats
* Also shares the flat damage bonus of the Arcane Spirit Shield

=== Tumeken's Shadow ===
* A very powerful magic staff
* Tumeken's Shadow has a chance to spawn Tumeken's light near your player, buffing your max hit by 20% while you stand on it
* This effect is boosted up to a 35% damage buff if you're also inside Tombs of Amascut
* Tumeken's Shadow also has a passive damage boost inside any raid instance

== Post-raid-launch fixes ==
* Creating the Elidinis Ward (f) now announces to the world on success. If you fail, you'll now lose the ward instead of the arcane
* The Pumpkin/Phantasm/Necrotic ranged weapons should all work now
** All twisted bows require no ammo, and have their own projectile graphics set up to match them
** The Necrotic/Phantasm DHCBs now have a 15% dragonbane max hit boost
* The Phantasm/Necrotic rapier now animate properly, like rapiers should
* Tumeken's/Phantasm/Necrotic/Corrupted Shadow can all proc Tumeken's Light on upper levels now, like at Akkha. Previously it'd only work if the ground floor had walkable tiles
* Zebak now drops items for all players, so irons can stop getting cucked by the croc
* Pumpkin gear now has no equip requirements
* The Grand Exchange collect all button has been disabled because it's very laggy
* The Grandmaster achievements for perfect TOA now require 5 instead of 3 in a row because 3 is too easy
* The Heavenly Ballista no longer requires a Luminary Essence to craft it. Just the Heavy Ballista and the Luminary Bowstring
* Vanguard/Trickster/Battlemage no longer '''increase''' your attack speed to 3 when the weapon is already faster than the 3-tick delay
